Bluebird Power Rake vs Billy Goat Power Rake?

The Bluebird power rake and the Billy Goat power rake are both very good machines. A power rake is also called a lawn dethatcher. It is essentially all the same thing, a machine that is designed to make your life much easier by getting rid of the batch in your lawn so you don’t have to do it with a thatching rake. My favorite brand of power rake is the Billy Goat. The reason why I like the Billy Goat power rake so much better than the Bluebird power rake is because it has steel reinforced rings around the blades. This means that they don’t have to be rotated as often and they last twice as long. If you’re going to be spending $300 for a reel either way, we wouldn’t you prefer one that lasted 2 to 3 times longer?

Also, another reason why I don’t like the bluebird is because it doesn’t have a very good adjustment for flooring the times. All you have to do is to drop it once, and the bar that positions the time is out of whack and permanently bent. With the Billy goat power rake, you don’t have that issue. This is because it is adjusted by a large metal screw.


In addition, when you are using it to thatch a long, it does not pop out when the thatch is having like the bluebird does. The last reason why I like a Billy goat buyer is because it is heavier, and it does not bounce around as much when you’re trying to get rid of some thick thatch. The one advantage of a Bluebird over a Billy Goat power rake is that the bluebird comes in a 22 inch model. This gives you 2 inches more than the Billy Goat so it is a little bit wider. When there is not very much that in a lawn, a Bluebird lawn dethatcher is faster to use. When there is a lot of batch, or the thatch is thick, having a wider berth actually slows the machine down and makes it not quite as fast. Usually, if you are removing moss, you want to have a Billy Goat power rake. If you are removing dead grasses, you can do it faster with a Bluebird power rake because a Bluebird will slow down when you use it on moss. Even though a new Billy Goat will cost you three or $400 more, it is worth it because it is better built and has a much better reel assembly.
